Position Description:

Teaching Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include teaching lower and upper division undergraduate leadership studies courses (15 credit hours per semester).  Teaching load will include delivering on-line courses within the Organizational Leadership degree program delivered to several of FHSU’s international partner institutions.

Topics may include, but are not limited to:

Ethical issues in business

Civic leadership

Personal development

Leadership behaviors

Leadership and team dynamics

Leadership theory

Service-learning

Research Requirements:

There are limited research requirements for this position.

Service Work:

There is limited departmental or university service required for this position.

Education:

Ph.D. (or other terminal degree) or ABD from an accredited institution in leadership, communication, organizational psychology, political science, or a closely related field is preferred. Master’s degree in leadership or related field required.

Experience:

Individuals with teaching experience in the field of leadership studies are preferred.  Experience in developing/teaching distance education courses is desirable.  Familiarity with the Chinese culture or fluency in Mandarin Chinese is preferred.
