Delta Zeta initiates

HAYS, KS -- Fort Hays State University's chapter of the Delta Zeta Sorority inducted 10 women into its ranks on Aug. 10.

Delta Zeta is one of the largest college chapters in the nation and a top ranking sorority internationally. They have 165 college chapters and 250 alumni chapters.

The primary focus of Delta Zeta is to the Delta Zeta Foundation for the speech and hearing impaired.

The following students were admitted to the sorority in a pledging ceremony on Aug. 21 at their house at 410 W. Sixth Street, Hays, KS:

Sherry Fincham is a 2000 Topeka High School graduate and FHSU freshman. Fincham is the daughter of Daniel Fincham, 3822 S.W. Sena Drive, Topeka.

Amanda Kramer is a 2001 Hays High School graduate and FHSU freshman. Kramer, daughter of William and Stephanie Kramer, Hays, plans a career in political science.

Lexie Manning is a 1999 Great Bend High School graduate and FHSU junior. Manning, daughter of Michael and Judy Manning, Great Bend, plans a career in medical transcription.

Lauren Martin is a 2000 Mulvane High School graduate and FHSU sophomore. Martin, daughter of Dwayne and Beverly Martin, Mulvane, plans a career in psychology.

Michelle Mize is a 2001 Clearwater High School graduate and FHSU freshman. Mize is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bradley Mize, Clearwater.

Irene Mong is a 2001 Trego Community High School graduate and FHSU freshman. Mong, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Mong, WaKeeney, plans a career in radiology.

Karisa Stein is a 2001 Hartford High School graduate and FHSU freshman. Stein, daughter of Deb and Les Stein, Hartford, plans a career in political science.

Amber Vice is a 2000 Circle High School graduate and FHSU freshman. Vice, daughter of Teresa and Roy Long, El Dorado, plans a career in nursing.

Melissa Wiseman is a 2001 Bonner Springs High School graduate and FHSU freshman. Wiseman, daughter of Charles and Lisa Wiseman, Edwardsville, plans a career in communication.

Erica Woods is a 2001 Smith Center Junior/Senior High School graduate and FHSU freshman. Woods, daughter of William and
LeAnn Woods, Smith Center, plans a career in art.
