ProjectSERV AmeriCorps members receive education awards at Aug. 7 graduation ceremony

HAYS, KS -- Nineteen Fort Hays State University ProjectSERV AmeriCorps members were recognized at the Aug. 7 graduation ceremony. These outstanding members were honored with individual $2,362 education awards.

The following students, listed by hometowns, received awards for their community service. Two students are excluded from publication at their own request.

Beloit: Diana Delimont completed 600 hours during the last year at Wilson Elementary School.

Ellis: Tara Augustine completed 900 hours during the last two years at Tiger Tots Nurtury Center and First Call for Help.

Hays: Christina Braun completed 900 hours during the last two years at Holy Family Elementary School and with the Special Olympics.

-Kandra Craig completed 900 hours during the last two years at Hays High School, O'Loughlin Elementary School, Kennedy Middle School and the Hays Area Children's Center.
-Kelly Crispin completed 900 hours during the last two years at Lincoln Elementary School and First Call for Help.
-Libby Kaczor completed 900 hours during the last two years at the Mary Elizabeth Maternity Home and at the Learning Center.
-Erin Meckenstock completed 900 hours during the last two years at the American Red Cross.
-Cassie O'Brate completed 900 hours during the last two years at Tiger Tots Nurtury Center, Hays Area Children's Center, First Call for Help and the YES program.
-Samantha Reeves completed 900 hours during the last two years at Hays Head Start, READ Hays! and Hays High School.
-Diane Riley completed 900 hours during the last two years at READ Hays!
-Toni Sanger completed 900 hours during the last two years at Hays Head Start and Tiger Tots Nurtury Center.
-Sarah Strasen completed 900 hours at the Learning Center, DREAM Inc. and Holy Family Elementary School.
-Janet Zimmerman completed 900 hours during the last two years at the Mary Elizabeth Maternity Home.

Hoxie: Laura Frazey completed 900 hours during the last two years at the Fort Hays Educational Development Center and First Call for Help.

Larned: Denise Staab completed 900 hours during the last two years at Tiger Tots Nurtury Center and O'Loughlin Elementary School.

Pratt: Latisha Haag completed 1,700 hours during the past year at Hays High School.
Stockton: Tara Towns completed 600 hours during the past year at Felten Middle School.
