HAYS, KS -- Alumni and friends of Fort Hays State University from all over the state will be able to greet one another on opening day of the Kansas State Fair, Sept. 7, in Hutchinson.
The FHSU Alumni Association will be in the Encampment Building from 5-8 p.m. The Encampment Building is on the north side of the fairgrounds between gates four and five.
All alumni and friends are welcome to stop by, enjoy a sandwich buffet and find out about the latest in FHSU happenings including academics, athletic action and enrollment trends at the university.
Several FHSU personalities will be present, including Dr. Edward. H. Hammond, president of FHSU. Victor E. Tiger, the new Tiger mascot, will also be on hand for photo opportunities.
The cost is $7.50 for adults and $5 for students and includes a sandwich buffet and drinks, free State Fair gate admission, free decorative FHSU Tiger tag or mouse pad and a chance to win Tiger memorabilia.
