FHSU's Dr. Janice Unruh Davidson reappointed to another term as team leader by CCNE

HAYS, KS --- Dr. Janice Unruh Davidson, professor of nursing at Fort Hays State University, has been reappointed by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education for another term as team leader in national specialized nursing accreditation.

The CCNE, an autonomous arm of the American Association of Colleges of Nursing, seeks to contribute to the improvement of the public's health by ensuring the quality and integrity of baccalaureate and graduate nursing education programs.

In her first term as team leader, Davidson served in leading on-site evaluation team visits for the College of Nursing at the University of Louisiana and at Delta State University of Mississippi's School of Nursing. She is scheduled to perform similar assessment activities this fall at Central Missouri State University.

"I think that the new nursing accreditation organization provides a more collegial approach to process-centered assessment activities of nursing programs," said Davidson. "This ultimately translates into better health care for the public."
