FHSU students recognized as Outstanding AmeriCorps Members for 2000-01

HAYS, KS -- Fort Hays State University students Kelley Crispin, Hays sophomore, and Justin Greenleaf, Greensburg sophomore, were recognized as Outstanding AmeriCorps Members for 2000-01 during the annual FHSU Student Organizations Awards Reception held April 25.

Crispin, an elementary education major, was selected for this award by fellow ProjectSERV AmeriCorps members. She is an AmeriCorps team leader at First Call for Help, where she helps those in financial need complete the necessary paperwork in order to obtain prescription medications.

Greenleaf, an information networking and telecommunications major, was also selected by fellow AmeriCorps members. He supports Red Cross Service Clubs and committees in the USD 489 school district from the elementary through high school level.
