FHSU INT media studies students win at 2001 KAB Student Broadcast Award ceremony

HAYS, KS -- Three information networking and telecommunications media studies students from Fort Hays State University received awards at the Kansas Association of Broadcasters annual awards ceremony and student seminar in Wichita.

Penny Lamb, 4860 N Oliver, Wichita senior, earned first-place in the 30-second Commercial or PSA Division for her spot titled "Ultimate Fitness Concept-Hays--'Valentine's Day.'"

Sara Albright, Grandview Plaza sophomore, earned first place for her Complete Newscast Division spot on the KSNC 6 p.m. news.

Jenna Stout, Plainville junior, and Lamb received an honorable mention for their undergraduate TV Complete News Feature Division spot titled "A T-Rex Named Sue."

Seven other students also attended:

Dustin Armbruster, WaKeeney sophomore; Justin Fluke, Medicine Lodge senior; Joe Greene, Clay Center junior; Rob Karnes, Hoxie graduate; Dustin McEntarfer, Pratt senior; Ryan Newton, Ellis sophomore; and John Peterson, Rose Hill senior.
