HAYS, KS -- Fort Hays State University's faculty and administrators will gather for the annual Spring Faculty Meeting on Friday, May 4, to review the 2000-2001 academic year.
The meeting begins at 3 p.m. in the Fort Hays Ballroom of the Memorial Union.
The highlight will be a State of the University address by Dr. Edward H. Hammond, FHSU president. The past year has brought several successes and national recognition of student achievement.
Also included in the meeting will be:
The annual report from the president of the Faculty Senate, Dr. Art Morin.
The annual meeting of the University Association and a report from its president, Dr. Robert Stephenson.
The annual meeting of the graduate faculty and a report from the dean of graduate studies, Dr. Tom Jackson.
Commerce Bank of Hays, which provides financial and other support for several important FHSU programs, will sponsor a reception for faculty, staff and invited guests at the bank following the Spring Faculty Meeting.
