Student Research Showcase to be held April 27

HAYS, KS -- Sigma Xi, the Scientific Research Society at Fort Hays State University, is sponsoring the first-ever Student Research Showcase.

All undergraduate and graduate science students who have participated in research at FHSU are invited to present their research at the showcase scheduled for Friday, April 27, in the Black and Gold Ballroom in the FHSU Memorial Union.

A faculty committee will judge posters. Students will be required to be present at their posters for at least two hours throughout the session. The poster session will take place from 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. with an award ceremony following at 4 p.m.

Awards will be presented for one graduate student and one undergraduate student. First prize is a $100 gift certificate from the FHSU Bookstore. Second prize is a $50 gift certificate from the bookstore and third prize is a $25 gift certificate from the bookstore.
