FHSU professors to present at Southwest Business Symposium in Edmond, OK

HAYS, KS -- Professors from Fort Hays State University's College of Business and Leadership will present papers at the Southwest Business Symposium in Edmond, OK, on April 19.

Dr. Fred Blume, assistant professor of computer information systems, will present "A Pilot Application of the Saaty Importance Matrix to Satisficing Airlifter Fleets." This essay deals with priorities and requirements in aircraft fleets using matrixes to derive the best fleet size with minimal sacrifices.

Dr. Jerry Stark, professor of business administration, and Dr. Robert Meier, professor of CIS, will present "Cellular Telephone and Handheld Electronic Notebooks: Ownership, Satisfaction and Purchase Plans."

Dr. Jim Heian, associate professor of business administration, Joan Rumpel, assistant professor of business administration, and Dr. Preston Gilson, associate professor of economics and finance, will present "The Numbers Game: Quantitative Aspects of MBA Programs."

Dr. Rory Terry, assistant professor of economics and finance, and Gilson will present "Asset Allocation -- Problems and Proposed Solutions."

C. M. Hassett, instructor of CIS, and Meier will present "Using Quality Function Deployment in curriculum development: The Second Step."
