FHSU students are national finalists at National Broadcast Society convention in L.A.

HAYS, KS --- Three of the four entries Fort Hays State University sent to the regional National Broadcasting Society competition will continue on to the nationals.

Dustin McEntarfer, Pratt senior, John Peterson, Rose Hill senior, and Penny Lamb, 4860 N. Oliver, Wichita senior, traveled to Los Angeles, CA, to attend the national NBS convention from March 14-19.

McEntarfer, with help from Brent Briggeman, produced and submitted "The Chase II."

Penny Lamb is being recognized for her video "Information Networking and Telecommunications Department," which was submitted and received two awards.

She was aided in this production by McEntarfer; Peterson; Christina Gillman, Mound Valley special student; Kevin Windholz, Quinter special student; Mike Koerner, Hays graduate student; and Mike Stutterheim, Prairie View special student.

Lamb, in recognition of her academic performance, has been awarded a travel grant to attend the convention and is also a national finalist for the NBS Fellowship in New York City this summer.
