FHSU theatre to present first production of spring 2001 semester

HAYS, KS -- In its first production of the spring 2001 semester, the Fort Hays State University Theatre is presenting Come Back to the Five and Dime Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean, from Thursday, March 1, to Sunday, March 4, in the Felten-Start Theatre in Malloy Hall on the FHSU campus. Shows begin at 8 p.m. each evening.

The play is a tale by Ed Graszyk. This production stars Brenda Meder, instructor of communication and director of the Hays Arts Council, Ruth Firestone, chair of the Department of Modern Languages, Jill Siefkes, fall 2000 graduate, Hudson, and Trish Davies, spring 2000 graduate, Hays.

Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance by calling (785) 628-4225. Ticket prices are $7 for the general public and $6 for FHSU students.

The play's director, Dr. Lloyd Frerer, professor of communication, advises that this play contains mature language and content which may not be appropriate for some younger audiences.
