HAYS, KS -- Fort Hays State University's Scholarship Services Office is accepting applications for the Stanley Z. Koplik Memorial Scholarship.
One $1,000 nonrenewable scholarship will be awarded for the 2001-2002 academic year. The recipient must be a full-time junior or senior who demonstrates financial need and is maintaining a 3.0 GPA in any curriculum at FHSU.
The scholarship, which provides financial assistance to students in any curriculum at the six regents universities, rotates among the six regents universities.
Those who wish to apply for the scholarship must submit a 200-word essay stating their educational goals and how the scholarship assistance would be important to them.
This scholarship was established by the family and friends of Stanley Z. Koplik to honor the more than 10 years of significant service he provided to the Kansas Board of Regents and the Regents institutions.

The deadline for submitting applications is March 1, 2001.
