HAYS, KS --- Fort Hays State University's Mark Griffin, manager of networking, servers and desktop services, has been awarded the illustrious Jane N. Ryland Fellowship.

This fellowship will go toward Griffin's trip to Boulder, CO, in mid June to attend the Institute Management Program sponsored by EDUCAUSE.

The Management Program focuses on developing participants' organizational management skills, particularly those related to managing one's interactions on the campus and to managing other people.

"I believe it's a great opportunity for myself and for FHSU," said Griffin, "and it provides an opportunity for additional IT management."

Institutional commitment to information technologies, to employee professional development, to the applicant, and to EDUCAUSE (through association membership)

Consideration for this fellowship is contingent upon the applicant's commitment to higher education and information technology, the potential benefit to the applicant and his or her institution and the specific institution's economic need.
