Arnold to bring poetry reading to FHSU campus

HAYS, KS -- The Fort Hays State University Department of English will present Craig Arnold's poetry reading at 7:45 p.m. Feb. 26, in Rarick Hall 307.

His first book "Shells" was selected by W.S. Merwin as the 1998 Volume of the Yale Series of Younger Poets. Arnold's works have appeared in The New American Poets, Poetry, The Paris Review, The Yale Review and The New Republic.

His honors and awards include the Amy Lowell Poetry Traveling Scholarship, the Great Lakes New Writers Award, and fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, Bread Loaf and the Texas Institute of Letters.

He will spend 2000-2001 in residence at Princeton University as a Hodder Fellow in the Humanities.
