HAYS, KS -- Fort Hays State University's Moss-Thorns Gallery of Art has announced its exhibition schedule for the spring 2001 semester.
An Interior Design Student Exhibition begins the season Jan. 31- Feb. 12 with an opening reception from 2-4 p.m. on Feb. 4. The show displays the original designs of several FHSU interior design majors.
The 2001 Seventh Great Plains National Exhibition takes place from Feb. 23-March 16. This is a national juried exhibition of small works in 2-D and 3-D. The opening reception is 7-9 p.m., Friday, Feb. 23.
The Art Department's Annual Student Honors Exhibition will take place March 26-April 18. This show presents outstanding artwork by FHSU art students. The opening reception takes place from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, March 31.
April 18 is the annual Moss-Thorns Gallery of Art High School Day.
Three graduate thesis exhibitions close out the spring semester at the Moss-Thorns Gallery. From April 21-April 27 exhibitions by Scott Dines, sculpture, and Joyce Moore, graphic design, will be on display. A closing reception will be from 7-9 p.m. on Friday, April 27.
April 30-May 4 features graduate exhibitions by Jennifer Swodoba, painting, and Orathaya Saramart, graphic design. The opening reception will be from 7-9 p.m. on Monday, April 30.
The final graduate exhibition by Ed Brown, photography, will take place May 7-May 11.
Spring semester hours for the gallery are Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m.
