BSU to hold vigil and host speaker for Martin Luther King Jr. Day

HAYS, KS -- In memory of Martin Luther King Jr., civil rights activist, the Fort Hays State University Black Student Union will hold a hold a candlelight vigil on Jan. 15. The event will begin at 6 p.m. at Sheridan Hall.

From there, the group will walk to McMindes Hall where Ladjamaya, a nationally recognized dramatist, actress, director and vocalist, will speak at 6:30 p.m. in the McMindes Hall East living room.

Earlier in the day, Ladjamaya will serve as the featured speaker at the Hays VFW luncheon.
