Educational administration and counseling faculty assume positions in state organizations

HAYS, KS -- Two members of the Department of Educational Administration and Counseling at Fort Hays State University have recently been elected to new positions in state organizations.

Dr. Warren Shaffer, associate professor of educational administration and counseling, was elected president of the Kansas Association for Counselor Education and Supervision for the 2000-2001 year. He is currently serving as the president for the Kansas Mental Health Counselors Association.

Dr. Carla Hattan, assistant professor of educational administration and counseling, was elected to take Shaffer's position as president of the KMCA for the 2000-2001 year. Additionally, she has been appointed to the Kansas Mental Health Credentialing Coalition.
