HAYS, KS --- Fort Hays State University's provost and a member of the nursing faculty were recognized Saturday, Oct. 7, for their commitment to excellence in advising students.
Dr. Larry Gould, FHSU provost, and Sue Boos, associate professor of nursing, were honored by the National Academic Advising Association at its national conference in Orlando, FL.
Dr. Gould, provost and professor of political science, was presented with the Pacesetter Award, which is given to only one person annually. Recipients must be administrators who exemplify a commitment to advising and have proven to be true advocates for both students and advisors.
Boos was awarded an Outstanding Advisor Certificate of Merit.
The NACADA was chartered as a non-profit organization in 1977 to promote quality academic advising and professional development of its members in an effort to ensure the educational development of students.
