Several FHSU faculty members to be recognized at tenure and promotion reception

HAYS, KS -- Twelve Fort Hays State University faculty members have been granted tenure or promoted and will be recognized at a reception at 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, in the Stouffer Lounge of FHSU's Memorial Union.

The tenures and promotions begin with the 2005 fiscal year.

Seven faculty members were granted tenure and were promoted:

Dr. Mark Bannister, Department of Information Networking and Telecommunications, was promoted from assistant professor to associate professor.

Dr. Robert B. Channell, Department of Biological Sciences, was promoted from assistant professor to associate professor .

Allen Craven, Department of Art, was promoted from assistant professor to associate professor.

Dr. Junghwa Lee, Department of Music, was promoted from assistant professor to associate professor.

Kevin Shaffer, Department of Information Networking and Telecommunications, was promoted from assistant professor to associate professor.

Dr. Dosse Toulaboe, Department of Economics and Finance, was promoted from assistant professor to associate professor.

Dr. Brett Zollinger, Department of Sociology and Social Work, was promoted from assistant professor to associate professor.

Four faculty members were promoted:

Dr. Tim Crowley, Department of Music, was promoted from associate professor to professor.

Dr. Amy M. Finch, Department of Communication Disorders, was promoted from associate professor to professor.

Linda Ganstrom, Department of Art, was promoted from associate professor to professor.

Dr. Robert Howell, Department of Technology Studies, was promoted from assistant professor to associate professor.

In addition, Dr. Charles Gnizak, assistant professor of accounting and information systems, was granted tenure.
