Alumni reception set in Colby as part of President Hammond's Media Tour

High Plains Chapter Alumni and Friends of Fort Hays State University in northwest Kansas are invited to attend a special Tiger reception at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 7, in the Meadow Lake Country Club, 1085 N. Country Club Drive, Colby.

FHSU President Edward H. Hammond, making a stop on his annual Media Tour, will be the special guest. He will give an overview of the latest developments and happenings at Fort Hays State.

Attendees can enjoy hors d’oeuvres and drinks while they get news from the university. Other FHSU guests include Kent Steward, director of University Relations, and DeBra Prideaux, FHSU executive alumni director.

Registrations are accepted online by visiting www.goforthaysstate.com/events. A fund request of $5 per person will be used to support area students attending Fort Hays State University. The Alumni Association requests RSVP by Saturday, Oct.5.

Alumni hosts will be Darvin and Tammi Strutt and Megan Horinek, High Plains chapter president.
