King elected vice president of National Association of University Architects

HAYS, KS -- Eric King, architect and director of facilities for the Kansas Board of Regents, was recently elected vice president of the Association of University Architects at its annual conference.

This year the conference was held in Chicago at the campuses of the University of Chicago and the University of Illinois at Chicago. Next year's conference will be hosted by the University of Kansas in Lawrence from June 24-29 and will feature King as program chairman in addition to being vice president.

King was the director of the Office of Facilities Planning at Fort Hays State University from 1987 until 1997 and can be credited with the successful renovation of Sheridan Hall and Lewis Field Stadium along with the construction of Tomanek Hall.
