National Campus Leadership Council hosts Inaugural Student Leadership Summit

Tyler Thompson, Derby senior and president of the Fort Hays State University Student Government Association, was one of 100 student leaders from across the country at the inaugural National Campus Leadership Council Student Leadership Summit held recently in Washington, D.C.

Planned in conjunction with the White House Office of Public Engagement, the NCLC Summit connected student leaders with policymakers to discuss the most important issues affecting young Americans, such as student debt, college affordability and youth unemployment.

Created in 2011, NCLC is a non-partisan, non-profit organization that empowers student leaders to engage in a national dialogue by facilitating communication among students and developing connections with policymakers.
