FHSU professor at Sias University wins video contest

Dale Powers, visiting professor of management for Fort Hays State University at Sias University in China, was one of three winners of a video contest hosted by the Society for Human Resource Management and the Coalition to Preserve Employer Provided Education Assistance (CPEPEA) last fall.

The contest encouraged employers and employees to submit videos explaining why employer-provided education assistance is an essential benefit to them and the workplace. Videos from human resource professionals across the country were submitted showing personal testimonies and sharing the importance of the education benefit to both employees and employers.

"I appreciate CPEPEA's efforts to get the word out about employer-provided education assistance," said Powers. "This benefit is an important tool for investing in the future of our workforce, and I am honored to help speak out on behalf of employees across the country who work hard and study hard every day."
