An informational meeting for "It Takes Two to Talk," a program on communication for parents of infants to 3-year-olds, will be presented from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 27, by Fort Hays State University's Herndon Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic in Albertson Hall, room 104.
In the full program, parents can learn how their child communicates, what motivates a child to communicate, how to turn everyday events into opportunities to increase the child's language skills, and how to talk to increase language skills in children.
Parents can participate in classes with other parents and take part in individual sessions to practice new language strategies.
For more information, call Dr. Jayne Brandel, assistant professor of communication disorders, at 785-628-5244 or e-mail her at jmbrandel@fhsu.edu.
