Dept. of Health and Human Performance to introduce 'Ride a bike/leave a bike'
11/02/2010

Intramurals and the Department of Health and Human Performance at Fort Hays State University are in the process of developing the "Ride a Bike/Leave a Bike" program, designed to provide bicycles for students, faculty and staff to use as they move around campus.

Bicycles will be parked in campus bike racks and will be available for anyone to use at any time. For example, an individual can ride a bike from Cunningham Hall to Davis Hall and leave it in the rack for the next person to use.

All bicycles in the program will be easily identifiable, as they will be painted black and gold and have white and orange pole flags on them. The bikes will be maintained by intramurals and HHP.

The goal is to get the bicycles reconditioned and ready to use in the spring of 2011.

For more information or to donate a bicycle, call Glen McNeil, chair of the Department of Health and Human Performance, at 785-628-5296.
