A book signing will follow the presentation by Dr. Robert Musil, Woodrow Wilson visiting fellow, in Fort Hays State University's Fort Hays Ballroom at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 22.
Wednesday's presentation, "Hope for a Heated Planet: What Can You Do About Global Warming?" is built on the themes of his book, "Hope for a Heated Planet."
The book signing opportunity is provided by Steve Gonzales, manager of FHSU's University Bookstore. Copies will be available for purchase.
Musil is chairman of the board of 2020 Vision: Environment, Energy and Security Solutions and Scholar in Residence at the American University School of International Service. Musil is also a Visiting Scholar at the Churches' Center for Theology and Public Policy at the Wesley Theological Seminary, where he teaches about religious responses to global warming. Until 2006, he served as CEO of Physicians for Social Responsibility, which won the 1985 Nobel Peace Prize.
His book, published by Rutgers Press, shows how the fight against global warming can be won through the grassroots efforts of individuals.
