Forsyth Library celebrates Hays history at orientation

New students and the public are invited to learn how to use the resources of Fort Hays State University's Forsyth Library from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 23, in the library.

The event, called "Dead Man's Hand," features live music and a western theme centered on Wild Bill Hickok and the early days of Hays. The first 100 students will get free barbecue catered by Al's Chickenette.

Students can play alone or in small teams gathering clues to solve the mystery of a missing professor. Students who solve the mystery can choose a prize from a wide range of FHSU merchandise and other items. A drawing will be held for two USB drives and a framed photo of early Fort Hays State.
