Students create video to promote FHSU in China
06/15/2010

Four Fort Hays State University students recently created a video to promote FHSU to Chinese students as a way to give potential international students more knowledge about Hays and FHSU and to contribute to FHSU's international program.

The students were Li-Chen "Queenie" Chu, Taiwan special student; Niko Kuo, Tiachung City, Taiwan senior; Danny Pearson, Garden City special student; and Cameron Roth, Hays senior.

The video aims to assist potential Chinese students in understanding what FHSU has to offer.

"They will be able to better understand the environment of Hays and FHSU life," said Cathy Sun, a former Chinese student at FHSU.

With two international students in the group, Chu and Kuo, the group was able to gain feedback within itself on coming to FHSU from another country.

"This video will help Chinese students understand the culture of America and FHSU," said Kuo.

Although the video is in Chinese, it contains subtitles in English.

To watch the video, go to the students' website at http://scatcat.fhsu.edu/~crroth/mediavol. For more information, go to www.fhsu.edu/international.
