Full-time faculty welcomed to FHSU

Fort Hays State University has added several new full-time faculty for the 2010-2011 academic year.

Hendratta Ali accepted a position in the Department of Geosciences as an assistant professor. Ali began August 1.

Kristopher Bennett accepted a position in the English Department as an instructor of English for the Virtual College International. He began August 16.

Theresa Billiot accepted a position in the Department of Management and Marketing as a professor of management and marketing. She began August 11.

Jennifer Bonds-Raacke accepted a position as chair for the Department of Psychology and as an associate professor of psychology. She began June 13.

LeAnn Brown accepted a position in the Department of Leadership Studies as an instructor of leadership studies for the Virtual College International. She began August 16.

Tim Callahan accepted a position in the Athletic Department as the Assistant Athletic Director for External Operations. He began April 5.

Bryan Corbin accepted a position in the English Department as an instructor of English for the Virtual College International. He began February 1.

Cynthia Garrety accepted a position in Forsyth Library as The Learning Commons Coordinator. She began August 8.

Rebecca Todd Garvin accepted a position in the English Department as an instructor of English for the Virtual College International. She began August 16.

Eric Giesing accepted a position as an educator for the Kansas Wetlands Education Center. He began July 19.

Brad Goebel accepted a position in the Virtual College as the Director of Strategic Communications and Marketing. He began June 13.

Zachary Hampton accepted a position in the English Department as an instructor of English for the Virtual College International. He began August 16.

Brett Harvey accepted a position in the Athletic Department as an assistant football coach for the offensive line. He began August 2.

John (J.P.) Hemminger accepted a position in the Department of Management and Marketing as a visiting professor of management and marketing for the Virtual College International. He began January 13.

Jenny Wilkerson Hilger accepted a position as a counselor and Coordinator of External Testing Programs at the Kelly Center. She began August 1.

Scott Hipsher accepted a position in the Department of Management and Marketing as a visiting professor of management and marketing for the Virtual College International. He began August 16.

Jackson Ho accepted a position in the Department of Management and Marketing as an instructor of management and marketing for the Virtual College International. He began March 4.

Kelsi Hoffman accepted a full-time position in the Office of Admissions as an admissions counselor, effective July 4.

Scott Johnson accepted a position in the Department of Management and Marketing as a visiting professor of management and marketing for the Virtual College International. He began August 16.

Steve Johnson accepted a position in the Athletic Department as the head baseball coach. He began May 24.

Yasuhiro “Yass” Kobayashi accepted a position in the Biology Department as an assistant professor of biological sciences. Kobayashi began August 11.

Travis Larsen, formerly an adjunct instructor for the History Department, accepted a position as an instructor of History. He began August 11.

Yu Kay Law accepted a position in the Chemistry Department as an assistant professor of chemistry. Law began August 11.

Ashley Lewis accepted a position in the Department of Management and Marketing as an instructor of management and marketing for the Virtual College International. She began January 13.

Charles Philip Martin accepted a position in the Department of Management and Marketing as a course coordinator of management and marketing for the Virtual College International. He began March 1.

Candace Mehaffey-Kultgen accepted a position in the Department of Management and Marketing as a visiting professor of management and marketing for the Virtual College International. She began August 16.

Melissa Merchant accepted a position in the English Department as an instructor of English for the Virtual College International. She began August 16.

David Morrill accepted a position in the Department of Management and Marketing as a visiting professor of management and marketing for the Virtual College International. He began August 16.

Mary Huyck Mulka accepted a position in the English Department as an instructor of English for the Virtual College International. She began August 16.

Brent O’Brien accepted a position in the Athletic Department as secondary assistant football coach. He began March 21.

Vinay Patel accepted a full-time position as Hall Director for Student Residential Life. Patel began June 27.

Diane Plunkett accepted a position in the Department of Teacher Education as an instructor of teacher education. She began August 11.

Dale Powers accepted a position in the Department of Management and Marketing as a visiting professor of management and marketing for the Virtual College International. He began August 16.

John Raacke accepted a position in the Psychology Department as an assistant professor of psychology. He began August 11.

Fernanda Raney accepted a position in the Department of Health and Human Performance as an instructor and also will be an assistant volleyball coach. She began June 13.

Victor Reyes accepted a position in the English Department as an instructor of English for the Virtual College International. He began February 1.

Roger Schieferecke returned to FHSU as a part-time residence counselor from March 22 to May 31, 2010. He recently made the jump to a full-time position as the KAMS Associate Director for Student Services. He began June 13. Schieferecke had served as FHSU’s Admissions Director from July 2001 to June 2005

Enrico Sessolo accepted a position in the Physics Department as an instructor of physics. Sessolo began August 11.

Samuel Schreyer accepted a position in the Department of Economics, Finance and Accounting as an assistant professor of economics, finance and accounting. He began August 11.

Alexandra Shaw accepted a position as Hall Director for Student Residential Life. She began August 2.

Craig Shaw accepted a position in the Athletic Department as head women’s soccer coach. He began August 2.

Elizabeth Steffen accepted a position as Hall Director for Student Residential Life. She began June 27.

Sara Stoecklein accepted a position in the Office of Admissions as an admissions counselor. She began June 13.

Kyle Stone accepted a position in the Department of Management and Marketing as an assistant professor of management and marketing. He began August 11.

Kimberly Stoppel accepted a position in the Department of Teacher Education as an instructor of teacher education. She began August 11.

David Tostenson accepted a position in the Philosophy Department as an assistant professor of philosophy. He began August 11.

Oliver Twelvetrees accepted a position in the Athletic Department as head men’s soccer coach. He will begin December 1.

Elena Urnsheva accepted a position in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science as an assistant professor of mathematics and computer science. She began August 11.

Melinda Wells accepted a full-time position as Interim Director for the Student Health Center. She began August 2.

Aaron Velasquez accepted a position in the English Department as an instructor of English for the Virtual College International. He began August 16.

Qingjiang Yao accepted a position in the Department of Communication Studies as an assistant professor of communication studies. Yao began August 11.

Hsin-Yen Yang accepted a position in the Department of Communication Studies as an assistant professor of communication studies. Yang began August 11.

Philip Wittkorn accepted a position as Director of Operations for Chinese Partnerships. He began August 10.

Charles Wolfe accepted a position in the Department of Management and Marketing as an instructor of management and marketing. He began August 11.

Pete Yoo accepted a position in the Department of Management and Marketing as a visiting professor of management and marketing for the Virtual College International. He began August 16.
