FHSU's Astronomy Club presents music, Mars

Fort Hays State University's Astronomy Club in collaboration with the Western Kansas String Academy invites the public to "Music and Mars."

The program will be from 8:30 to 11 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, in Tomanek Hall, room 106. It will begin with a presentation about Mars and a viewing of the planet will follow at the top of Albertson Hall, from 9 to 11p.m.

"This is an event not to be missed because Mars won't be this clear again until 2018," said Dr. Paul Adams, professor of physics and Anschultz Professor of Education.

Those who do not want to battle the cold or are waiting to view Mars can enjoy a live musical performance by the Western Kansas String Academy from 9 to 10 p.m. in the lobby of Tomanek Hall.
Admission is free.
