As a way to better deliver business consulting and management training to small and mid-sized businesses throughout Kansas, the Kansas Small Business Development Center has established an additional outreach office in Bird City. The ribbon cutting will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 20.
The Bird City office will serve 10 counties in Kansas: Cheyenne, Decatur, Graham, Logan, Norton, Rawlins, Sheridan, Sherman, Thomas and Wallace.
The KSBDC Network provides entrepreneurs and small business owners with knowledge, tools and resources to enhance their success by helping them identify their business needs and guiding them toward opportunities and solutions.
Currently, there are nine outreach centers and eight regional offices, with one being located at Fort Hays State University. Since KSBDC began in 1983, more than 86,000 entrepreneurs have accessed their services, which are free of cost.
The KSBDC Network is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration and the Kansas Department of Commerce.
