Encore Series presents 'The Drowsy Chaperone'

The five-time Tony Award-winning musical, "The Drowsy Chaperone," a completely original musical comedy, is coming to Fort Hays State University at the Beach/Schmidt Performing Arts Center in Sheridan Hall at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 16, 2010, at 7:30 p.m.

"The Drowsy Chaperone" tells the story of a modern day musical theater addict who chases his blues away listening to his favorite album – the 1928 musical comedy "The Drowsy Chaperone." From the crackle of his hi-fi, the musical magically bursts to life on stage, telling the tale of a pampered Broadway starlet who wants to give up show business to get married and her producer who sets out to sabotage the nuptials, her chaperone, the debonair groom, the dizzy chorine, the Latin lover and a pair of gangsters who double as pastry chefs.

Individual tickets are available at the Student Service Center in FHSU's Memorial Union, (785) 628-5306.
