President Hammond has just announced that the university campus and Sternberg Museum of Natural History will close at 1:30 p.m. so that people can travel home safely. Streets are becoming slippery, so we urge everyone to be patient and drive with caution.
Provost Gould also announced that the Virtual College has canceled Internet classes for the rest of the day.
The decision about whether the university will be open tomorrow will be made at about 5 a.m. Wednesday based on conditions at that time. Per established university policy, if there is no announcement on the media and the university Web site in the morning, that means the university is open. |
