Social work students from Fort Hays State University recently took a three-day field trip to Wichita.
The class, Social Work and the Law, used the time to learn the relationship between social work, the courts and the law. The students visited the district court and the federal court and listened to cases, rode in a police car and met with people in the district attorney's office and public defender's office.
