The beginning of a school year can be an exciting time, yet also one of anxiety and stress. The thought of finding classes, buying books and adjusting to college life may seem overwhelming, but college is also about making new friends, enjoying new freedoms, spreading your wings and having fun.
AugustFest 2009 is a series of events, activities, programs and opportunities designed to welcome and introduce students to campus life. These events are geared toward all new and returning students, faculty and staff. AugustFest is a time for the entire campus community to kick back, have some laughs and enjoy these scheduled AugustFest activities.
The fest began Aug. 24 with the Back to School Picnic and continued through the first week with choir auditions, Memorial Union events, sorority and fraternity recruitments and other activities, but AugustFest events are scheduled through Sept. 16.
