Students, ratings agency recognize excellence in FHSU's online BBA program

Innovative online education solutions at affordable prices are a hallmark of Fort Hays State University. Through it's Virtual College, FHSU is proud to offer 29 online degree programs with exceptional depth and outstanding faculty at a price that won't break the bank. has recently recognized FHSU's Bachelor of Business Administration program as the nation's No. 4 Best Buy in online business or management education. surveyed 83 regionally accredited colleges and universities that offer a total of 391 online bachelor's degrees related to a business or management major. The survey revealed that online students should be prepared to pay as much as a total of $103,500 to earn a distance learning BBA.

Among the top 10 most affordable online bachelor's business degrees nationwide, FHSU offers its Bachelor's in Business Administration degree for a modest total of $20,832. This provides Americans all over the nation the opportunity to further their educations at an accredited public university without missing a single mortgage payment.

According to's report, the average cost nationwide for a regionally accredited online bachelor's degree in business or management is $43,241.

Affordability is not the only thing online BBA students receive when they attend FHSU.

There are more than 280 online BBA students and 12 faculty members in the program. That equals one faculty member for every 23 students. This ensures that while in FHSU's online degree programs, students are given an exceptional level of interactivity with other students and faculty through online collaboration. This level of interactivity helps students thrive and excel after graduation by supplementing traditional education by exposing students to different perspectives and world-views.

"They have regular access to professors via phone and email, library services, online tutoring, career services, and many other important student support services. These services can help online students become more academically successful and also makes them feel like they’re part of the FHSU campus, even at a distance.”

Fitzhugh is an advisor for online BBA students and knows first-hand the benefits students receive from the online degree program.

"Many online students are busy working full-time jobs and have family obligations,” Fitzhugh said. "The fact that they can fit school into their busy schedule by studying in the evenings or weekends makes our BBA program very accessible to almost everyone."
