Temperatures aren't the only "cool" changes in store in this fall; Fort Hays State University's choirs have modified their styles just in time for the Fall Choral Concert on Oct.16.
"My concerts are full of variety and right at one hour -- no two- or three-hour marathons," said Terry Crull, instructor of music and director of choral activities at FHSU.
The Fall Choral Concert will feature the FHSU Concert Choir, the Fort Hays Singers and the Women's Chorale.
Dr. Edward H. Hammond, president of FHSU, will be a guest performer in the top choral ensemble's novelty number. Also, a "mystery" conductor will lead the choirs as a debut performance.
"We sing well and we have fun. So do our audiences," said Crull.
The concert is scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 16, at the Beach/Schmidt Performing Arts Center auditorium in Sheridan Hall. Admission is $4 for FHSU students and $6 for all other attendants.
