Christie Brungardt, instructor of leadership studies at Fort Hays State University has been honored for outstanding academic advising by the National Academic Advising Association as part of the 2009 Annual Award Program for Academic Advising.
NACADA was established in 1983 to honor individuals and institutions making significant contributions to the improvement of academic advising. It was chartered as a non-profit organization in 1979 to promote quality academic advising and professional development of its membership to ensure the educational development of students.
Brungardt will receive the reward at the annual award conference in San Antonio, Texas, on Sept. 30. |
