Get your golf clubs and appetite ready for this year’s Northwest Kansas Tiger Golf Tournament hosted by the Fort Hays State University Alumni Association at 10 a.m. on July 10 at the Sugar Hill Country Club in Goodland. The four-person-scramble tournament is dedicated to funding scholarships for students living in northwest Kansas.
Non-golfers are welcome as well. A cookout will be after the tournament. The event is hosted by FHSU alumni Larry McCants and Dale Shields. Special guests include FHSU President Edward H. Hammond and Tim Chapman, president and CEO of the FHSU Foundation. University representatives include Cody Bickley, associate director of athletics, and Tony Hobson, women’s basketball coach. Brad Botz, senior director of gift planning for the Foundation, will also be present.
Registration is $75 for golfers, which includes greens fees, cart rental, prizes and lunch. For non-golfers who only attend the cookout, the cost is $13. Register online at http://www.fhsu.edu/alumni/eventsrsvp.html. Pre-registration is required.
