Students, faculty, staff organizations elect new officers

The results are, in and new officials were elected for three governmental organizations on the Fort Hays State University campus.

The Student Government Association elected Hays senior Bradley Stramel as its new president and Derby sophomore Tyler Thompson as vice-president.

The Faculty Senate elected Dr. Jeff Burnett, associate professor of health and human performance, as its new president, and Dr. Rita Hauck, associate professor of technology studies, as vice-president, and Dr. Kathleen Sanders, assistant professor of teacher education, as secretary.

The Classified Senate re-elected Marcia Tacha, administrative specialist for the Office of University Relations, as its president. Charlene Lix, administrative specialist for the University Police Department, was elected vice-president, and Amie Wright, administrative specialist in the College of Education and Technology, was elected secretary/treasurer.
