Western Kansas String Academy offers summer string classes

Fort Hays State University's Western Kansas String Academy is offering more than 17 different music classes this summer suitable for all ages and skill levels.

Classes include piano exploration for young children, drumming rhythm class, string-explorers, Saturday morning cartoon music, advanced soloing for guitars, ensembles and many others.

Registration cost varies from class to class, ranging from $15 to $25. Private lessons are also available for $36 for four half-hour sessions, $48 for six half-hour sessions and $75 for 10 half-hour sessions.

Deadlines for registration are Monday, May 25 for classes in June and Monday, June 15 for classes in July.
