Earth Day Debate to discuss climate; Heinrichs and Shanahan to face off

Dr. John Heinrichs, chair of Fort Hays State University's Department of Geosciences, and Dr. Bill Shanahan, Hays scholar-at-large, will face-off at the Earth Day Public Debate at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22, in the Stouffer Lounge of FHSU's Memorial Union.

The event is free and open to the public.

The topic of the debate, "Let The Climate Do What The Climate Will Do," will explore the implications, ramifications and radical solutions to dealing and coping with climate change from a social and science perspective.

The event is sponsored by the FHSU Science and Mathematics Institute and the Department of Geosciences.
