Dr. Kenton Olliff, director of Fort Hays State University's Kelly Center, was one of approximately 150 counselors from across the state to attend the annual convention of the Kansas Counseling Association on March 12-13 in Great Bend.
Olliff and Dr. Collen Etzbach from Emporia State University co-presented a pre-convention workshop titled "Coping During Adolescence and Beyond: How Can We Help?" The workshop provided information on psychopathology and diagnosis issues in the adolescent and young adult population.
Olliff will serve as president of the Kansas College Counselors Association for the year beginning in July.
The convention also included 30 breakout sessions focusing on a variety of professional development and interest areas, as well as region and division business meetings.
