New organization at FHSU forms for high-achieving students

A new student organization has opened its doors on the Fort Hays State University campus. The Fort Hays State Honor Society, formed to recognize academic achievement and to provide students with a cumulative GPA of 3.8 or above the opportunity to network.

"One of our current projects is a collaborative resource manual with information about scholarships, research opportunities, campus organizations and other university activities," said Arika Mondt, Briggsdale, Colo., sophomore.

The society will hold quiet study sessions from 6 to 10 p.m. on Sundays in the Cody Commons in FHSU's Memorial Union. They also held a dodge ball tournament in Cunningham Hall.
