'Greek Weekend' is a hit at FHSU; funds raised for United Way

Fraternities and sororities at FHSU got "Greek Weekend" started with a splat with the charity pie auction on Thursday, April 2.

The event, which gave attendees a chance to pie one of three FHSU faculty members, raised $350 dollars for the United Way of Ellis County.

Donors include Hays graduate student Cole Engel, who donated $85 to pie Student Government President Tyler Hughes, who in turn donated $140 to pie Dr. Larry Gould, provost. Devin Konkel, Harper junior, donated $70 to pie Dr. Terry Crull, and the event's master of ceremonies, Hays Mayor Barbara Wasinger, got in on the action donating $55 to pie Dr. Kenneth Trantham, associate professor of physics.
