Fort Hays State University's Art Department kicked off a series of art exhibits with the Art Faculty Exhibition from Sept. 30 through Oct. 28.

The exhibition will have an opening reception from 7 to 9 p.m. on Oct. 7 at the Moss-Thorns Gallery of Art in Rarick Hall.

Exhibits include painting, drawing, printmaking, ceramics, sculptures, photography and mixed and multi-media artwork.

The department's faculty members have been successful in having their works selected for numerous regional and national, juried and invitational exhibits in the past year. Many also received awards.

All exhibitions are open to the public. The Moss-Thorns Gallery of Art is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays. Contact Art Department Chair Leland Powers at (785) 628-4247 for more information.
