Dr. Joseph Perniciaro, instructor of music at Fort Hays State University, was invited to conduct a master class in American opera and American art song at the Royal Irish Academy of Music in Dublin, Ireland, in March 2009.

Perniciaro also recently sang the tenor solos in "Elijah" with the Topeka Festival Singers. He was also invited to perform his lecture recital, "Ross Lee Finney's Song Cycle 'Chamber Music:' A Mosaic of Text and Music," at the College Music Society's Great Plains Regional Conference in Kansas City, Mo., in April 2009.
