Several Fort Hays State University Classified Senate members visited the state Capitol on Jan. 27 and 28 for the "Classified and Support Staff Council's Day on the Hill 2009."

Classified Senate President Marcia Tacha, Senators Gloria Pfiefer and Rod Leiker and Alternate Senator Roger Weigel attended the event.  They, along with classified staff representatives from four other Board of Regents universities, met with more than 20 legislators individually. Some observed the House's Higher Education Committee meeting, the Senate's Ways and Means Committee meeting, as well as the Senate in session.
