Valentine's Day celebrated at FHSU, events planned
02/10/2009

Several events are planned in celebration of Valentine's Day at Fort Hays State University by the ceramics area and the FHSU choirs.

Unique handmade valentines and gifts are being sold in the Memorial Union on Thursday, Feb. 12, from noon to 1:30 p.m., in front of Union Station. The ceramics area is also holding a couples' throwing date night on Thursday, Feb. 12, from 7 to 9 p.m. Suggested donation is $30, which pays for materials and supports also the Visiting Artists program in ceramics. To reserve a wheel, contact Linda Ganstrom by e-mail at lganstro@fhsu.edu or call 628-4273.

If cards, chocolates and flowers just won't do this Valentine's Day, order a singing valentine for your sweetheart.

The FHSU choirs are offering singing valentines for delivery between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 14. Choices are a male solo, a male quartet or a female trio.  Also included is a sweetheart rose and a small box of chocolates.

The package costs $20 for faculty, staff and students, and $30 for the public. To order, e-mail Terry Crull at tacrull@fhsu.edu or call 628-4258.
